Proud to be an American...

MAY 15, 2004..........A friend sent me these beautiful pictures.

We rarely see pictures like this on the news!

I couldn't help but compare them to the horrors that have been published around the world the last couple of weeks, giving a 'black eye' to all the courageous men & women who serve with honor and integrity every day, even under the most horrible conditions, Far from home and from those family and friends who love them and appreciate what they are doing for their country.

God bless all those decent, hard working, caring individuals and God forgive the other kind. For I, personally, cannot. These few make us all appear like "Ugly Americans" to the rest of the world, when I thought
we were suppose to be "the good guys".

Please pray for our military men and women.  and please pray for PEACE IN THE WORLD.
And for Peace in our hearts.

Sometimes in our everyday life we tend to forget what's going on elsewhere in the world and that the brave men and women of the service are just like you and Me.  They pray for courage in the face of strife.  They still feel loving compassion for those who are frightened and hurt.

They look into the faces of children and see their own kids back home.  They have family and friends who they desperately miss.  Their loved ones also miss them and are praying for their safe return.

Heavenly Father, please be with our forces during this trying time.   Keep them, and all those who love you with a true heart, in Your merciful, tender care.

For Armed Forces Day: May 15, 2004

These brave men and women keep Freedom alive,
Our forefathers fought too so that we might survive.
For Liberty's sake, let us hear the bell ring;
Pride in our Military our voices do sing.

May all people worldwide experience it too.
The oppressively ruled nations, may they be the few.
Let the Freedoms of this world be shared with all nations.
We are ALL God's most precious, beloved creations.

Armed Forces Day reminds us to pray;
To salute all our Military for helping Freedom stay,
That the red, white and blue continues to wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Our rockets red glare can be seen in the night
As our Armed Forces continue, always, the fight
For the Freedom we have, we enjoy and we love.
Can you see it? It's there, in the night sky above.

This Armed Forces Day two thousand and four
Means more this year, than most any before.
Remember and realize this beloved, cherished gift;
Raise flags, show your patriotism, your voices uplift.

Let these brave men and women of yesterday and today
Hear loudly what we all Americans have to say,
Thank YOU for the Freedom with your blood did you pay
That this divine gift, in our Nation, it shall always stay.

THANK YOU
United States Army
United States Air Force
United States Navy
United States Coast Guard
United States Marine
FREEDOM ISN'T FREE
A HEAVY PRICE DID YOU PAY
