One of my favorite pastimes in the whole world is to read. I've been this way since
I was just a kid, when I'd walk down town in Stewartsville during the summers when I'd be
visiting my Grandparents. There was a tiny lending library that, miracle of miracles
had a really good selection of Nancy Drew books plus some other treasured nuggets like the
Hardy Boys and The Bobsy Twins. (How I wish I had been around when the library closed down
and those great old books were sold off. I bet they went for a "song"! and
would be worth a fortune today!) Then I'd curl up in the porch swing or in a
corner of the couch in the front room and read to my heart's content, in between spending
hours skating up and down the front walk and playing lots of croquet out in the side
yard. Carol's Corner will have lots of book related information, including some book
reviews and some other thoughts on reading. |

Recently, I found a new outlet for writing the reviews of books and movies that I
like (or not).Amazon.com asks for reader-viewer
comments and then stores them on site 24 hours a day (seemingly forever, or at least until
they no longer carry the merchandise in stock)
Since I'm a blatant "self-promoter" I am giving
you the link to my About Me page. If you should run across one of my reviews, I hope
you will tell Amazon you found it helpful, as I can move up in the standings with the
affirmative votes, but not the negative ones (so if you hate my review, please just keep
it to yourself, will ya)
